Lindsey: So, here we are, one week out from the trip. The human bear has seen me making lists and planning in different ways so she insisted on getting a print out today of the packing checklist. While she is concerned with her outfits of choice and how many toys I'm allowing her to cram into a relatively small vehicle; I'm more concerned with keeping up with our plant-based diet (stop rolling your eyes, you signed up for this), saving as much money as possible to keep the husband happy, and keeping us safe (I've heard we are more likely to hit a deer if we drive in the dark than actually get tracked down by a stalker).
I'm currently entertained by blissful, giggly adventures playing out in my head where we stop frequently to do our jump rope workouts and tell each other jokes...my intellectual brain (it shows up on rare occasions) knows this will not be how it all goes down. One can dream and hope! The stuffed bear (Beast Mode is her name for those unfamiliar) sits upon her shelf and her eyes seems to watch us in mockery as we...I was just interrupted, Ella is ready to write her part.
Ella: I am so happy that I have packed already and I just feel like I am on the slide at the park in California.
Beat Mode: No prep needed:)
