On to new experiences on our own for the first day and it feels like I've been driving through Texas for WEEKS!
Adventure Stop #3: Lucy Park: Wichita Falls, Texas
We decided to picnic lunch it (kept it plant-based AND had my homemade dressing with me, haters I don't want to hear it) and let out some of our stir crazy car energy at a state park. TEXAS IS SO HOT! As the temps hit 100 degrees, we still ate our lunch, walked around and attempted to play on some playgrounds. The human bear now knows not to try and sit on a black rubber swing that has been sitting in high temps all day. I'd still recommend it as another good free sight to see, and if the human bear had a bit more stamina, I think it'd be a fun hiking spot. There were some funny structures and of course the human bear had to pretend to be eaten by a dinosaur while I hatched out of the egg (at least tried to get my booty halfway in it to appear that way!) Sometimes we are alike...
Another attempt at enjoying music together, thank the lord for Lady Gaga as she provided some good car time that we could all enjoy and now hopefully you can too: https://youtu.be/tU7DNF-FRl4
Adventure Stop #4: Rock Inn Cafe: Memphis, Texas
We had slight confusion on our abilities to navigate until we realized that there is a Memphis, Texas (thank goodness for dodging that bullet)! Also, trying to avoid chain restaurants while pushing a human 6 year-old bear's bladder to it's limits makes even an unplanned adventure equally as thrilling as any top 10 attraction!
Adventure Stop #5: Cadillac Ranch: Amarillo, Texas
This spot was excellent. Another free attraction and right off of Interstate 40! I don't have much to say b/c the pics speak for themselves...such a cool idea! There's also a video of Ella impressed with herself making a smiley face: https://youtu.be/1uaFDbIOxcg
I'm not sure how we lucked out with zero people around. We had huge groups as we were coming in and leaving but we were able to get shots without anyone in them:)
Can we please just both smile at the same time? No? OK...
The Bear Chronicles are now official!
Ella: So, what I loved yesterday was going to the pool & having my mommy around me. (pic added just in case y'all think this isn't really Ella talking. I keep trying to encourage her to write about the experiences but she's having NONE of it. She likes me and pools.)
Beast Mode: I can't believe the human bear STILL has energy, I guess I'll help Lindsey get started on the blog while Ella Bear wears herself out in yet ANOTHER pool. My fur is not a fan of water.
