It's hard to have a slow day when you fall out of the front door into a farmers' market but I'm not complaining! I still haven't found any complaints about this place yet...not one. Starting off the day with coffee and a croissant. No worries, the coffee was mine. I've also been able to cook some of my plant-based meals so fear not at these pictures of yummy goodness: it's not vacation if you don't splurge a little (at least that's what I keep telling myself as I have completely dropped my workouts off and stuff my face. There's always next month!)
Every time I come to visit there have been really neat additions to an already sweet spot. The farmers market has moved over one street to a brand spanking new piazza (b/c who can ever get enough of those?) They make fountains that are great for jumping off of...
The human bear walked up and down that market like she was on a mission. 10 out of 10 times you can bet she is on a mission that she is going to win!
In very Decoteau fashion, some friends of friends that became my friends that have family in Baton Rouge live in San Diego (did you follow that? There's really no need to...just know that I know people). It was so great to catch up and they have a precious girl Violet that we got to hang out with today. We love new friends. "Let's go Violet! We can cross the street by ourselves!"
AND pick the best cherries
AND talk politics by the water.
but these peeps were just glad they were so sweet to each other so we could all catch a break in the shade!
Apparently there must also be booty shaking to entertain people as they pass by on the trains. It's how we roll in this crew. The little ladies would like to say "you're welcome" to anyone on the train today entertained by their mad skills!
Ella: "Oh no, I think I'm going to be sick later!" (Me: Why Ella?) "LOOK AT THIS! I just ate pollen from this honey lollypop!"
"Dax said he wants to hear the xylophone." Well played human bear, well played! Doctor Mary is DEF the nicest one of the bunch:)
Dax and Doctor Mary had a date tonight but we got to snag a pic with him all dressed up before they hit the town! Look at that handsome little man.
Feeling lucky for so many great friends and family right about now:) Tomorrow we are headed to paddle board because apparently in San Diego that's something you should have already learned by age 6. I'll keep our special cameo appearances a secret until the next blog...just ponder through the night who might take us paddle boarding.
