Thank You Marines!

Adventure Stop #28: USMC Base Camp Pendleton: Del Mar Resort: Camp Pendleton North, CA

Before we get to the paddle boarding you've all been waiting for, let's first acknowledge the car ride. "Look Mommy, I just sketched the United States of America." Me knowing she didn't have anything to write on, "uhm, with what and where?" Ella, "IN MY APPLE AND WITH MY TEETH!" Haha Maybe she was inspired by our destination to be patriotic with her snack today.

I'm sure you all tossed and turned last night in anticipation of who would teach the human bear how to paddle board...here she is folks! The most experienced 3 year-old paddle board cutie we know: SCARLET (she's also not afraid of sand)!

Ella is certain she needs less than a minute of instructions on most things before she's ready to take the lead. These two had a blast today! Love, love:)

After a few minutes of realizing the work it takes to manage, I was allowed to have my turn at paddling the human bear around!

Barack and Ella were all giggles as they got buried in the sand but N'SYNC and Beast Mode were having more fun with Scarlet (although no one seemed short on sand coverage)!

"I will be the exclamation mark!"

The Bear Chronicles have NOT disappointed us thus far...and it's far from over! I am sure this did not make other people on the beach happy but Laura and I found it hilarious. (https://youtu.be/VhLIzsICwQ0)

This is been my favorite beach experience by far...I'm not sure if the waves are always as big as today but it was AMAZING just on the other side of the cove. Ella had a love/hate relationship with the waves b/c "stop it" didn't seem to give her any control. When she stayed upright it was funny, and we don't need to relive the take downs. (https://youtu.be/QAobA2DeLhc)

You've got this Laura! I'm just going to go take a break over here...

One more video of how much we couldn't believe the waves. She kept pointing them out to me as if I wasn't standing right there (https://youtu.be/t3P6VGfaY6I). How could we leave out rock climbing? As if the cove and paddle boarding weren't enough, one could literally rock climb on over to the ocean for the serious waves if they dared...and we did!

After a long day, it's important to coax a strong good-looking gentleman to paddle you around as you wish! (https://youtu.be/0ZxKr7lJSb0). Ella's hussle game is strong for her age.

I am slightly insane, but fear not those of you that don't know our family well, this is our cousin and I did not put her on a paddle board with a random man!

And when these two divas find a stage, it's twice as funny: (https://youtu.be/cnDY1iamE1I)

I'm so sorry, Cannon did NOT get appropriate representation in this blog, but he was awesome. Just soaking up the rays and taking care of Beast Mode (while I'm thinking about it, we didn't get any of the adults really...whoops! Thanks Laura and David for being EXCELLENT hosts and lugging S%&T all over for us today)

We ended off the day with an easy-peasy babysitting gig with this cutie. Those two LOVE to smile for pics together:)

and anyone that knows myself and Jason will NOT believe what this is about...what would these two ladies LOVE that they have tickets to for tomorrow's adventure?! You will just have to read the next blog to find out I guess.

to be continued...
