Y'all, Dallas is HOT! We said goodbye to Abilene after the human bear took her sweet time making notes about all of the similarities of each La Quinta we've stayed in for the trip. She is completely baffled as to why every hotel has a bible in it...I had never thought about it before but that's like most things she brings up! If anyone has an answer to that, please send it my way so I can inform her! Find a complete list here (https://youtu.be/WjvrDCjuYWY)
We needed a final hotel pic
and a final continental breakfast!
Good-bye La Quinta...it's been real! WE WILL BE BACK.
Adventure Stop #41: The Ivy Kitchen: Addison, TX
We drove straight from Abilene to meet up for a lunch date with our family in Dallas (or is it actually Dallas? Who knows?! No one seems to be sure what qualifies). Super excited to get some family time and good grub! Thanks for the awesome lunch date and conversation ladies:) Yummy food at The Ivy Kitchen and I was minimally made fun of for my choice of veggies and hummus.
On to my Myka (oh bartender!) This girl is always looking out for me:)
Adventure Stop #42: Klyde Warren Park: Downtown Dallas, TX
We hadn't been to a park created over an Interstate yet so let's DO IT! Is everyone locked and loaded? YES!
As we were hanging out here, there were actually cars driving under us...that's cool!
This was the perfect plaza for us b/c it was hot and it made us moody.
You know I LOVED this! Grab a book and sit down...
Or think about grabbing a book and chase the human bear down...
the book thing seemed like a great idea, maybe next time!
The man walking by with this dog said her name was Michelle Obama...I could NOT pass up this opportunity! He didn't seem to miss a beat that a strange grown woman walked up to him with a picture of Barack and asked to take a pic with his puppy:) I can't make this stuff up folks.
I believe this is the human bear's first food truck order herself but I can't be certain Jason hasn't taken her...YUMMY Pizza.
Look at those happy faces. She didn't finish either of these things to make sure we avoided the last tragic outcome of too many treats!
...and I did this b/c I'm grown and I can!
Thank goodness for all of the practice with Dax, second babysitting gig already booked:)
Finally because we have not had enough entertainment, there are these few stops and on to hours of Myka's pool! Better do it big on our last night of the road trip.
Sorry to any of you that we have missed out on during this wild adventure. There are only so many hours in a day and we've realized we just have to keep doing these things to fit everyone in! Whoop whoop, travel travel. We are so thankful to everyone that helped us enjoy our adventures along the way. This blog may continue with or without a road trip. We shall see. Ella and I can't wait to see Jason tomorrow and may even try to get back into a semi-normal routine.
