COVID-19: Week 6

What Are We Doing This Week?

I think we had fun this week. There was dancing, singing, cooking, school work and swimming but let's all be honest probably mostly tablet time. Don't be fooled by the blog, there are A LOT of hours in one day. Enjoy some of the things we did this week on our technology breaks!

I still don't know how to do hair but I have improved! It helps prevent tangles when I do many more smaller braids especially with all of the swimming. I can't get straight lines for the life of me!

I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back and forth

Although I have heart palpitations on m my mile run when she rides with me, I'm glad she likes to join. I guess it makes the run go by quickly as I hope she doesn't get smacked by a car flying out of a driveway.

Last week, the human Bear cried about having to do yoga and this week it was fine...only if she was the teacher!

The Bear built a 5 story apartment complex and invited us over. The different amount of floors are not up for negotiation but I did have trouble identifying a few.

By the time I got there, Jason was already hanging out in the living room. haha

There's NO quit in this one! On the right was Day 1 of trying to build a fort out of bamboo and the left is Day 2 early in the morning back at it again. I think the loss of the sweater and long pants rolled up in 85 degree weather may have been the trick.

We've moved on from potentially hazardous kitchen appliances to yard equipment and tools. Can't wait to see what next week holds!

She was VERY proud of the outcome! That's what really matters. Not sure where the creating of living spaces has come from this week but she's really in to it so we are letting her go!

Jason's morning Splenda said, "Be Happy! It drives other people crazy!" The best part about this is that I DRIVE HIM CRAZY WITH MY INCESSANT HAPPINESS haha now even your sugar is on my side. I told you to cut out sugar!

We were supposed to get long overdue family pics with both sides of the family last weekend but this social distancing selfie will have to do until we can all gather up again!

There was ONE time I planned to leave this week. An old Glasgow student is making masks for people that need them FOR FREE! She said it's her responsibility to help the community at this time. I was able to talk her in to sharing her Paypal for those that don't need masks but may want to help her get some supplies:) Here it is: aeziffer@gmail.com

As we were leaving to go pick up masks the rain sounded relentless, why wasn't I expecting hail? Of course...stopped to enjoy the sound of it though!

When Jason and the Bear venture out they take it to the next level. They were almost smooshed by this tree and I'm so glad I didn't hear about it until they made it home. The human Bear said Jason did a GREAT job driving around it. haha

Slightly dramatic 6 feet as we talked to the Wesleys through a tiny split between the two cars!

Thanks to good neighbors, we had art time outside yesterday! Thanks for the invite Tates:)
Grown-up game night after the kiddos are in bed! This was much needed and full of laughs.

Prepping for some distance learning. I'm assuming all of this is in prep to troubleshoot for next year b/c the Governor said we are done for the year and I'm holding him to it!

Add working the mixer to the list of things she can function independently now! Whoohoo. Had to shuffle songs by Whitney to make sure the human Bear knows.

The Fitbit on the ankle will never not be funny.

What Are We Celebrating This Week?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE DANA and thank you for allowing us to get married on your birthday! We asked for a photographer to document our 6 year anniversary and this is how she showed up:

I'm ready to take your pictures!

Happy 6 Years to us!

Clearly I was not posing appropriately and this tiny force was NOT going to let me ruin her photos. So I got schooled on how to walk a runway!

A very Zoolander scene ensued!

Best Neighbors EVER! Thanks Ashley for snapping one of us all b/c you KNOW I'm not getting dressed again any time soon.

Cheers to extending our contract for another year, to our photoshoot being over and to a GREAT weekend with our little family.

Thank you again April for these masks. I don't know if you chose elephants for the Bear on purpose or not but she was very excited! Someone is always looking out for her.

What Are We Eating This Week?

When these two go out alone, they usually have or come back with something like this! They DEF deserve it after eating so much healthy stuff for weeks now.

So many yummy bowls this week: lentils and brown rice, greens, BBQ chickpeas and all the fixings

The human Bear made this snack for herself and then took pictures and sent them to me! haha I love it. Proud of her healthy snack.

Jason took a pic of his lunch b/c it was pretty and sent it to me. I think it's starting to stick folks! Keep your fingers crossed for me. This plant based thing is working wonders for us all!

What Are We Talking About This Week?

It always comes back to Boosie somehow in this house! To clarify the sign of the cross was not like a prayer before eating, she was standing up, done with break and made the sign before removing her dishes from the table and walking them to the sink. She is a character!

When the human Bear asks the difference between a credit card and a debit card there is not much more that can warm Jason's heart! LESSON TIME. She already knew...I'm fairly certain she just knows what brings him joy and plays it well!

Jason thought I made him a custom card but I guess there are just more crazy people out there than you realize b/c this was at Fluerty Girl with plenty others. Card messages are very important in this house! I am TOTALLY winning this year.

I'm talking about Med School Admit this week! What a change from our big weekend sessions to executing on Zoom:) Of course I was wearing dress pants and heels...

Who Are We Fighting This Week?

BIRDS, we are fighting birds b/c they are trying to beat me to all of my berries. It is both hilarious and annoying!

The blackberries and mulberries can't even get all the way ripe and the birds are going to town. Jason's response when I share the news, "haha we have a mulberry tree"

We are also fighting bamboo that is taking over!

Each other! I went for a walk and was not gone for 30 minutes before I got a message and I knew she was hungry when I asked her if she needed something before I left! I returned well before sending the return message don't worry, this child is anything but neglected.

What Are Unrealistic Celebrations A Bear May Expect?

Sorry this will never be something we spend money on but it was cool to see someone else do it!

What's Blooming This Week?

LOOK AT ALL THOSE BLUEBERRIES! I'm ready to fight some birds for these.

We've got red, dark pink, light pink and yellow! SO pretty

Twist again like we did last summer

There is DEF video of her losing her mind from our first road trip after being on the road for a month. This was similar the other day. Strange bird noises and senseless laughing. Someone send help!

We are going to make it.

We hope everyone is staying well. Remember, just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean you have to...stay inside for longer!
