Four Corners

I'm not sure if anything can beat Antelope Canyon, but we are determined to try! Let's see what we can get into in New Mexico...

Myka has been talking about running along with a tumbleweed since the trip STARTED! Fortunately for her, we had a long line to wait at our next stop to get to Four Corners so she popped out of the car. UNFORTUNATELY for her, the wind was not cooperating. You can hear how I felt about it in the background of the video:

Reason 8,472 why this lady is a bestie of mine...there was a LONG line of people annoyed in their cars trying to get into this stop. Did she care? No, she didn't. She was going to RUN WITH A TUMBLEWEED.

This is how it actually went down...

We had zero alcohol in our systems but I do think the other drivers around us were concerned!

People may have been looking at me awkwardly as well. We made it to the Four Corners Monument which is where Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. It's the only place where four states touch each other in the U.S. So, you KNOW I had to be in 4 places at once.

Haters gonna hate. I may have taken up more of my allotted time on the spot.

Selfie while in different states!

Back to Arizona somehow to get back to New Mexico. A lot of confusion in this spot.

Beast Mode and I had to stand partially in New Mexico and partially in Arizona on the way out! It isn't as unsafe as it looks. Not much traffic on that road.

If you were wondering where we were while headed to Santa Fe. One thing that has changed from 20-something road trips is the amount of stops at the bathroom. We must have been the most hydrated people on the road. At every stop we bought new gallons of water and chugged them to only stop again less than an hour later.

Because there weren't enough things going on, I convince Myka (who may be afraid of heights) to take the Sandia Peak Tram up 10,300 feet to the top of a mountain for lunch. I had been twice before and we were rolling through Albuquerque anyway. WHY NOT?

That face is why not. haha One of us is scared and one is not. She talked out her anxiety the entire way.

But look at the pretty views! Beast Mode is a pro and this is her favorite spot!

Having lunch at 10-3 which is at the top of the mountain.

That is what we rode up in...looks secure to me!

She survived but was not super excited about it.

Time to knock out the last little bit to Santa Fe:) See you all again soon. But first, one thing that never changes on a road trip whether you are 20-something or 40-something is the hollering when you hear even the slightest hint that Back that A$$ is coming on...add to that anything by Ying Yang Twins, Big Tymers, you get the picture. Music volume goes up, dancing begins, everyone is finding their joy.

Something that IS different is what type of directions you are willing to take!

On the left you have the 40-something GPS screenshot of where we are which was researched prior to leaving. On the right you have a REAL picture from our Vegas trip in '08 from someone at the bar trying to tell us how to get somewhere! hahahahaha This one gets me every time.

This trip is coming to an end and I think we have filled it with some great spots and awesome adventures. One more wild one to come then I'll be home to hug my Bears!
