It's HARVEY...YEAH!! Rolling right into Philly, PA and into a fantastic apartment with an amazing patio and rooftop (almost as good as the hostess herself!)
Snack time
Check out this view and the movement is constant
How many things can one see within walking distance of this spot? TOO many to count! We walked through the Independence Hall Visitors' Center and saw an unfamiliar instrument. He asked the Human Bear what song she wanted him to play and her request was "Take It Easy" and he said, "The Eagles?" yes, that's the one. haha So we stood and listened to this for a bit.
Oh, I was beginning to wonder when we would find another one...
We learned some cool things about paints from this guy.
Rocky is all over the place and even though she doesn't get it, she's always willing to do a goofy pose to make her Daddy smile. I told her he would laugh at this if she acted like a fighter.
A gigantic Ben Franklin head
Just walking along, you can see Ben Franklin's grave and tours going on as you walk by. Apparently, he coined the term, "a penny saved is a penny earned" so people throw pennies on his grave. The irony here is overwhelming to me.
In typical Human Bear luck, it happened to be flag day and we happened to be walking by Betsy Ross' House where they were allowing free entrance into the museum for the day!
A penny press IN HER HOUSE!
George Washington's House when he was the president before the building of the White House.
Trying to eat, shop or navigate in a market setting is INTENSE but we tried it!
and somehow ended up here...a black and white cookie just like the Human Bear!
Back to the balcony and wind and a blanket can entertain for HOURS!
Found an awesome shirt shop on the way home so we got a few things.
We got to meet Chris and got an excellent home cooked meal for the first time in a long time. Thank you!
Living that Cannoli life! Thank you Chris for picking these up for us:) Apparently you have to try cannoli's when in Philly.
Getting some knowledge about the city
Reunited and it feels so gooooood!
This was the view I woke up to and as I saw this from the bed I got so excited and went to see if the Human Bear and Beast Mode wanted to go watch the sun come up.
There were some groans and teenage sounding grunts at how offensive it was to have sun in their faces at 5:15
So I enjoyed some coffee and views by myself:) Enjoy these shots...
After the sun was mostly up, I finally looked up...oh hey, it's me and the cars on the street!
Day Two: She loves to lead, even when she doesn't know where she's going!
This is for Mrs. Megan and Mrs. Ginger! Check out these awesome gardens.
Looking good ladies!
Just getting a few things done before heading out of town!
Thank you so much Kathryn Harvey for hosting us and making us feel so taken care of and comfy. When we need a cool spot to stay, we know who to call! We appreciate it all:)
